The newly renovated Chickasaw Nation Emergency Department (ED) is staffed with highly trained medical professionals and the latest in medical technology. Located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center, the ED provides safe and quality care.
The ED has 28 fully-equipped examination rooms to treat emergent, life-threatening medical conditions, serious/urgent conditions and an urgent care for less serious conditions. A helipad is readily available to air transport critical patients as needed.
A virtual visit clinic is also located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center ED. This telemedicine clinic gives providers the ability to consult with patients in Oklahoma virtually from the comfort of their home. This service is beneficial to residents in rural communities and parents with small children, especially during flu season.
If patient is First American
If patient is Non-Native
Any patient that comes to the ED requesting emergency services will have a medical screening exam performed by a provider as per Emergency Medical Treatment & Labor Act (EMTALA). If a patient is non-Native, they will be screened, stabilized if necessary and transferred to an appropriate facility.
