Medical Family Therapy

Medical family therapy is a comprehensive approach to care that supports the physical, emotional, social and spiritual health of patients and their families in a medical setting.

Medical family therapists are part of a comprehensive care team that includes medical providers, nurses, case managers and more. They work with patients and families to offer support, tools, and strategies that help improve overall health and well-being.

Medical family therapists can offer guidance with:

  • Nutrition and activity management
  • Mental health concerns
  • Stress management
  • Self-care strategies
  • Coping skills
  • Chronic illness management
  •  Learning or memory concerns
  • Insomnia
  • Substance misuse
Service Area
  • Chickasaw Nation Residents - This service is available inside the Chickasaw Nation's boundaries.
  • Chickasaws At-Large - This service is available outside the Chickasaw Nation's boundaries.
