Food Distribution Program

Nutrition education and a selection of fresh produce, frozen meats and traditional foods are available through Food Distribution program grocery stores in nutrition centers in Ada, Ardmore, Duncan, Tishomingo and Purcell, Oklahoma.

Participants may shop on the day of their choice in any of the stores. Stores are closed the last two working days of each month.

Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) is an alternative to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) funded by the United States Department of Agriculture and is designed to promote the health and well-being of the Indian population by raising nutrition levels among low-income households. Benefits include nutrition education, food demonstrations, cooking classes and food packages with a wide variety of food choices, including fresh produce and frozen meats.

We now have a $712 utility/shelter deduction available or a deduction of actual shelter/utility expenses up to 50% of net monthly income, with verification of expenses. (please call for more information).

FDP provides services to Colbert, Oklahoma, one day each month. Appointments may be scheduled by calling (888) 436-7255, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Service Area
  • Chickasaw Nation Residents - This service is available inside the Chickasaw Nation's boundaries.
Eligibility
  • Citizenship in a federally recognized tribe
  • Must reside within the Chickasaw Nation
  • Must meet USDA income guidelines
  • Cannot receive SNAP or have a SNAP application pending
You Provide
  • CDIB or citizenship card from a federally recognized tribe
  • Social Security number and birth dates for all household members
  • Proof of address, postmarked within the last 30 days (utility bill preferred)
  • Pay stubs for most recent 30 days (for each working household member over the age of 18) or tax return for self-employed
  • Statement of non-employment/no income for any non-working household member over the age of 18
  • Proof of paid or received child support (court order, printout from DHS, canceled check, deduction from check)
  • Proof of out-of-pocket payments for child or adult daycare
  • Proof of other income (SSI award letter, Disability, Unemployment, Pensions, Retirement, VA benefits, etc)

To file a program discrimination complaint, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, AD-3027, found online at How to File a Program Discrimination Complaint and at any USDA office or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form. To request a copy of the complaint form, call (866) 632-9992.
